Job Title: X-ray Technologist - Weekend Shift
Location: Urbana, IL

Type: Travel/Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Friday to Sunday, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced X-ray Technologist for a weekend shift position in Urbana, IL. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of various conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct X-ray imaging procedures according to department protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to review cases and ensure accurate patient exams.
  • Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast when necessary, and monitor for any adverse reactions.
  • Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy tests as needed.
  • Verify and review radiology orders for accuracy and medical necessity, obtaining additional information from patients or healthcare providers when required.
  • Transfer and verify image data in PACS, providing comprehensive medical history for accurate interpretation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, report service needs, and uphold a safe work environment.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to new staff and students when necessary, and may assume responsibilities of a Lead X-ray Technologist or Imaging Coordinator in their absence.
  • Maintain productivity standards and assist in other areas during downtimes to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field, or a Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • IEMA Radiography License (Illinois) required.
  • BLS (CPR) certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-ray Technologist.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and onboarding in compliance with the Joint Commission.
  • 50-mile radius rule applies. Locals are not accepted.
