Shift: Friday to Sunday, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist for a weekend shift position in Urbana, IL. This role involves performing diagnostic radiological procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently during weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic procedures following department protocols, ensuring high-quality imaging standards.
  • Review cases with the radiologist and check patient history to confirm exam accuracy.
  • Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions.
  • Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing when applicable.
  • Verify radiology orders for completeness and medical necessity, obtaining additional information if needed.
  • Transfer and verify image data in PACS, ensuring all necessary medical history and information are available for interpretation.
  • Maintain imaging equipment, report service needs, and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Assist in training new staff and students as required, and may perform duties of a Lead Rad Tech or Imaging Coordinator in their absence.
  • Maintain productivity levels and assist in other areas during downtimes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or a Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • IEMA Radiography License (Illinois) required.
  • BLS (CPR) certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and onboarding in compliance with the Joint Commission.
  • 50-mile radius rule applies. Locals are not accepted.
