Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the VP of Slot Operations, the incumbent, either personally or through subordinates, directs, coordinates and administers the technical activities of the Slot Operations area, including—but not limited to—Slot floor planning, developing and training of Slot Technical Staff, and managing Slot systems and gaming devices in accordance with Internal Control Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Review new technology, equipment, and accessories under development, and evaluate potential benefits of implementing these new ideas. Partner with Seminole Tribe of Florida and Hard Rock Gaming Operations personnel to ensure consistent execution of programs and development/replication of best practices across properties.
  • Create and conduct preventive maintenance and repair programs in order to ensure Slot machines are in good working order and down times are minimized.
  • Review, recommend and/or revises policies and procedures within the Slot Operations Department that support the organization's initiatives and enables department to operate in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain Slot floor Computer-Aided Design (CAD) maps, Slot systems, and inventory databases.
  • Ensure security of Slot software and hardware.
  • Manage staffing to include, interviewing, hiring, training, and development of all Slot Operations technical personnel. This also includes the development and execution of Slot Technician certification programs and leadership succession planning.
  • Protect the integrity and security of the company, employee and guests.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience in a Casino Gaming Environment, five (5) years of leadership responsibilities in a Casino Slot Performance department, administering a major Slot system such as Bally SDS; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Fluency in multiple languages a plus.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The casino is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year. The candidate should expect to work flexible hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
