Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of PC hardware and software-related issues. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach.


Key Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, and optimize user desktops and laptops, including hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and install/reinstall cable as necessary.
  • Provide basic network administration support, including user account maintenance and password management.
  • Assist with the rollout of system hardware and software upgrades and patches.
  • Liaise with end users and staff to provide training and support on computer operation and other issues.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst, System, and Network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's desktop computing environment.
  • Manage replacement spares through RMA programs to ensure maximum hardware availability and minimum downtime.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in a computer-related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in computer hardware support and maintenance required.
  • Equivalent technical training and certification may be considered.
  • A+ certification required within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Experience with Ghost Imaging, Iseries, and Blackberry devices a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of XP/2003/Windows7/2008 environments required.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and current protocols TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP, and DNS required.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell. You must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. You may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.


You must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
