Principle Data Scientist, San Francisco, CA

We are currently conducting interviews for a Principal Data Scientist to join our client's Ads Data Science team. This person will help shape the future of their advertising strategy for their products and services on a hybrid schedule onsite in San Francisco, CA.

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will guide the implementation of machine learning solutions across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address complex business challenges.

  • Staying at the cutting edge of machine learning research to enhance our client’s ad platform capabilities.

  • Optimizing, improving, and innovating machine learning practices to position our client as a leader in the industry.

  • Formulating and validating hypotheses on new modeling approaches and the effectiveness of emerging datasets for machine learning.

  • Driving optimization strategies by analyzing key factors that impact machine learning and advocating for the next steps in development.

  • Defining requirements and communicating data and machine learning capabilities to product and engineering teams, serving as the key authority on data for machine learning.

  • Leading the strategic direction of machine learning initiatives for Ads to support our client's long-term goals and vision.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in driving machine learning advancements that keep our client's Ads at the forefront of performance.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience in applying research to practical applications.

  • Proven track record of converting research insights into successful, impactful product innovations.

  • Extensive experience with modeling frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, along with a solid understanding of model architectures and their inner workings.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain machine learning concepts and evaluate model performance for continuous enhancement.

  • Expertise in analysis, statistics, and data interpretation, with a keen ability to identify challenges and discover opportunities.

Salary Range $190,000-$258,000 per year + Profit Sharing & Healthcare benefits



Pay Details: $190,000.00 to $258,000.00 per year
