Job Description

The employee is responsible for primarily running a CNC press brake; however, they will be cross-trained to run various CNC Machines (Mills & Lathes), sheers, plasma cutters, and perform general metal-working tasks throughout the shop as needed. The operator may also be required to work in the rebar area of the shop or other areas of the business as needed, including cutting, measuring, and twisting rebar based on client orders.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake to shape steel accordingly.
  • Measure and align materials based on the specific product order.
  • Read blueprints/mechanical drawings.
  • Lift up to 50+ lbs. of material.
  • Perform basic quality checks to ensure materials are not damaged.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with press brake and machine operation.
  • Proficiency as a CNC operator.
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands.
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Mechanical assembly skills.
  • Ability to work the 2nd shift: 2PM-10PM, Monday to Friday; training will be conducted on the first shift.
