Job Title: Maintenance Manager (Baking Industry)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring efficient and timely repairs to equipment and systems within the food production facility.

  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, including scheduling routine checks and repairs to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.

  • Order necessary parts and equipment, ensuring inventory levels are maintained for uninterrupted production.

  • Manage maintenance budgets, keeping costs within set parameters while ensuring that equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

  • Oversee inventory control and track maintenance supplies.

  • Manage payroll for the maintenance team, ensuring accurate timekeeping and pay for employees.

  • Schedule maintenance staff shifts and assign tasks based on priority and staff availability.

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with production managers and other departments to ensure timely repairs and equipment readiness.

  • Utilize basic computer skills for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting purposes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in management or supervisory roles, preferably in a maintenance department.

  • Strong organizational and general management skills.

  • Knowledge of maintenance operations and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and other Windows-based programs.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Budget management and inventory control experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in a food production environment is a plus.
