• Administer daily benefits including enrollments, terminations, changes, and beneficiaries.
• Assist with company leave of absences (LOA) requests by requesting and retaining supporting documentation for claims.
• Support the HR Generalist in processing Family Medical Leave (FMLA) claims including determining FMLA eligibility, processing of application, and tracking and reporting.
• Provide support to the Worker’s Compensation program by assisting HR Generalist with claims and reporting.
• Coordinate the organization's Discount and Incentive plans and Employee Wellness programs.
• Conduct new employee orientations and assist in organizational training and development efforts.
• Manage the submission of HR related billing invoices and ensure compliance is maintained in all HR specific areas.
• Assist in the exit interview process as needed and in company-wide employee initiatives.
• Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compile reports from the database as needed.
• Maintain employee personnel files and participate in administrative staff meetings.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Benefit Specialist or related role
• Proficient in Benefit Functions including administration and management
• Experience with Cobra Administration is essential
• Familiarity with Paychex software is highly desirable
• Experience with HRIS Implementation is necessary
• Knowledge of Fringe Benefits and their administration is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data management and analysis
• Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
