We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our school as a paraprofessional. Paraprofessionals play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students under the direction and guidance of certified teachers and administrators.
Job Title: Paraprofessional
Location:Sacramento, CA
Job Type: Contract
Hours:30 hours/week
Dates of Assignment:2024-2025 school year
Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:

  • Assist teachers in managing student behavior and activities.
  • Support instructional activities as directed, including small group work, one-on-one tutoring, and classroom tasks.

Student Assistance:

  • Provide individualized attention and supervision to students inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist students with pleting assignments and homework.
  • Support students with special needs by following IEP (Individualized Education Plan) guidelines and strategies.

Administrative Support:

  • Perform clerical duties such as record-keeping, photocopying, and filing.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized classroom and instructional environment.
  • Help with administrative tasks as needed, including attendance records and munication with parents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or coursework in education or related field preferred).
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
