Robert Half is seeking a contract AR Specialist to support our client in Vancouver, Washington. Situated within the food manufacturing industry, this role involves the meticulous management of data, customer accounts, performing data entry, performing reconciliations and more. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and a strong eye for discrepancies. This opportunity is fully onsite and is covering for a leave of absence through May, 2025.


Responsibilities

• Accurately process and manage customer credit applications.

• Analyze data and perform data entry and management of data.

• Handle daily interaction with both internal and external customers through various communication channels via email and phone.

• Work collaboratively with customers and various departments to rectify any account discrepancies.

• Keep track of customer account balances and ensure timely payment through customer portals and invoicing systems.

• Manage and monitor customer accounts, setting up payment schedules as needed to ensure accounts stay within terms.

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly aging for assigned accounts.

• Report and explain any slow moving accounts or unresolved items to the AR Supervisor.

• Navigate multiple internal and external vendor systems.

• Proactively involve management in any Accounts Receivable issues that may arise.


• Exceptional Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle client inquiries and resolve issues effectively.

• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and maintain accurate records.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate payment plans and follow up on overdue accounts.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
