Special Education Teacher (SPED) Full-Time Opening: Metro Dalton, GA
Are you a licensed Special Education Teacher (SPED) looking for a new position? Do you have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and providing high-quality instruction and support? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near Metro Dalton, GA for the 2024-2025 school year
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet the unique needs and abilities of each student.
- Provide direct instruction to students in academic subjects, social skills, and daily living skills.
- Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the inclusion and success of students with disabilities in the general education setting.
- Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- GA State certification or licensure in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
