Job Description

This mechanical maintenance position involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on various machines. You will work with bearing machines, wire cutting machines, shape enders, centerless grinders, and motors. A significant part of the job involves rebuilding gearboxes. You must be able to read manuals to understand part replacements or repairs and work on hydraulic pumps and various types of motors.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on machines.
  • Work with bearing machines, wire cutting machines, shape enders, centerless grinders, and motors.
  • Rebuild gearboxes.
  • Read manuals to understand and replace parts or bearings on machines.
  • Work on hydraulic pumps and various types of motors.
  • Troubleshoot pumps.
Essential Skills
  • 3 years of mechanical repair experience.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Previous preventive maintenance (PM) experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Basic electrical ability.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Welding experience.

Work Environment

Work at the Corey's Plant during 2nd or 3rd shifts. The 2nd shift hours are 3 PM - 11:30 PM, and the 3rd shift hours are 11 PM - 7:30 AM. Training occurs on day shifts (7 AM - 3 PM) for up to two months. You can expect ample opportunities for overtime and will receive a $1/hr shift premium once you move to an off-shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bremen, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
