Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Machine Operator Assistants in our packaging facility. You will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced manufacturing personnel, with the potential to grow and advance within the company. This role requires a high focus on safety, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.
  • Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.
  • Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.
  • Read and follow order specification documents.
  • Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.
  • Work effectively with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn new skills within a standard timeline.
  • Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mentally and physically capable of performing at a high pace with a sense of urgency.
  • Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a drug screen and physical abilities test.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Good tenure in a physical job if no manufacturing experience.

Work Environment

Our facility operates on a swing shift from 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Fridays (approximately 60% of the year). The facility can get very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The environment is fast-paced, requiring physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and work around large machinery. We have various machines including a 112" Multiflute Corrugator, 62" Single Face Laminator, Rotary Die Cutters, Flexo Folder Gluers, Platten Diecutters, and Specialty Folder Gluers.

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30
