Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in the process of hiring a Controller in Falls Church, Virginia, 22042, United States. This role is pivotal in our finance department, with a primary focus on accounting policies, procedures, and controls. The Controller will be expected to oversee periodic financial reports ensuring compliance with accepted accounting principles. The role is also responsible for the annual budget, forecasts, and financial analysis, particularly in relation to capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities
• Implement a robust system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of documented accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure the production of periodic financial reports that comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
• Develop benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
• Prepare the annual budget and forecasts and report significant budget differences to management.
• Conduct financial analysis, with a focus on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
• Utilize CRM, Crystal Reports, and other Accounting Software Systems to streamline accounting functions.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) and utilize 3M and ADP - Financial Services for financial transactions.
• Regularly audit financial data for accuracy.
• Participate in and improve upon in-house budget processes.

• Proven experience with 3M

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Ability to use CRM effectively

• Knowledge of Crystal Reports

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven abilities in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes
