Job Description

This position involves managing inventory control and shipping/receiving duties for a facility that produces cement mixes for concrete, gravel, and sandbags. The role includes tracking shipments, inventory intake, dispatch coordination, and production reports. While the job primarily involves computer work, it also requires regular physical inventory checks in the shop.

Responsibilities
  • Receive raw materials
  • Report production
  • Manage inventory accuracy
  • Support operations by providing labels, MOs, etc.
  • Monitor raw material and finished good inventory
  • Production scheduling and planning
  • Monitor DPR on a daily basis
  • Communicate between dispatch, management, and production team
  • Implement process improvements
  • Crosstrain in various areas such as shipping and receiving, computer operation, and dispatch coordination
Essential Skills

  • Flexible and willing to adapt to daily needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather
  • Organized and able to handle multiple tasks
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in shipping and receiving
  • Knowledge in inventory control
  • Experience in maintenance technician roles including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and schematic reading

Work Environment

The work environment is a small, dusty shop with five people in production. It features conveyor systems, a dryer/tumbler, tall silos for material storage, bagging machines, and stacking/palletizing machines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00
