JOB SUMMARY as a Mail Room Clerk you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

Mail Room Clerk’s process, sort, bind, log and deliver mailPrepare mail packages for shipmentSort interoffice and regular mail by department or individualLog and distribute overnight packagesMaintain mailroom supply inventoriesInteract with shipping and receiving vendorsOperate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, mail sorting machines, envelope openers, scanners, mail sealers, and folding machinesAttaching filing fees to court documentsScanning, binding, and folding as well as copy and fax projects.Attach checks to outgoing mailLog certified mailLog returned mailAffix and record postage on registered mail and packagesRely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the jobAll other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

High school diploma or equivalent GED required0-2 years of experience in the field, or related areaHave a high level of attention to detailDigital dexterity to fold/stuff/seal large numbers of lettersAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of timeAbility to carry up to 20 poundsResponsible individual who can work both independently and in a team environment. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with basic office hardware such as scanners, fax machine, copiers, etc.Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dependability.Must be able to work occasional Saturdays when required. Must have a valid driver’s license
