Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant based in Findlay, Ohio, United States. This role is pivotal for our organization and involves handling various day-to-day accounting transactions, maintaining accurate records for general ledger accounts, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage special projects and value-added strategies.
• Reconcile customer accounts, including invoice processing and distribution.
• Facilitate vendor payments, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor bank accounts daily, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
• Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
• Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment and identify discount opportunities and stop-payment orders as needed.
• Prepare and analyze financial records.
• Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
• Process payroll and reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Review and approve payroll taxes and governmental reporting.
• Assist with annual audit requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Adhere to all institutional rules of conduct, policies, procedures, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Promote work with cross-functional teams and across multiple departments.• Possession of a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of accounting
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience and knowledge in handling General Ledger
• Ability to record and manage Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Skilled in performing Cash Reconciliations
• Ability to handle Daily Cash Receipts effectively
• Expertise in Cash Applications
• Strong skills in Account Reconciliation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
