Job DescriptionJob Description

A well-respected Tampa insurance defense firm, has an opening in its Tampa office for a lateral medical malpractice attorney.

  • Drafting and reviewing substantive pleadings, motions, and suit reports, responding to discovery, and compliance with guideline reporting and contemporaneous billing.

  • Communicate in a highly effective manner with team members and clients and have the ability to work in a fast paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications:

  • A licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing

  • Medical malpractice experience and understanding of medical issues

  • Experience with federal and state health care administrative laws is required.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, must have superior computer skills

  • Excellent academic credentials.

  • Experience in defending and taking depositions of medical experts and parties, along with attending court hearings, mediations, trials, and meetings with clients.

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to our clients and the desire to excel, and be highly organized, with a clear and concise communication style.
