Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable activities, excluding account coding and general ledger responsibilities.
• Scrutinize invoices and deal with any variances that may arise.
• Keep the accounts payable inbox up-to-date and efficiently organized.
• Create and understand purchase orders, providing any necessary training.
• Work in collaboration with the senior accounts payable lead to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize Workday system for various tasks, although its knowledge is not a pre-requisite.
• Ensure that all financial data is recorded accurately and promptly.
• Provide adequate responses to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Oversee customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions when necessary.
• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry.
• Proven proficiency in Account Coding, demonstrating an ability to accurately categorize and allocate financial data.
• Strong experience with Workday software, showcasing an ability to efficiently manage financial processes and systems.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures, exhibiting a capability to handle various AP tasks such as invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Purchase Orders, demonstrating an ability to accurately process and track orders, and ensure their alignment with budgetary constraints.
