Be the Heart of Student Wellness: School Nurse (RN) - Soliant Education (Tukwila, WA Area)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the health and well-being of elementary school students?

Soliant Education is seeking a passionate School Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Tukwila, WA area This full-time, on-site position for the 2024-2025 school year offers the chance to make a vital difference in the lives of elementary school students, fostering a safe and healthy learning environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide prehensive health care services to a diverse population of elementary school students, including:
    • Performing routine health screenings and assessments.
    • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    • Addressing minor injuries and illnesses.
    • Developing and implementing Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) for students with chronic health conditions.
    • Educating students and staff on health topics, such as hygiene, healthy eating, and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting student health and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy school environment by promoting infection control practices and responding to emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
  • Advocate for the health and well-being of students in collaboration with school leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Washington State License as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Prior experience working in a school nursing setting, particularly with elementary school students, is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment, and care coordination for children.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
  • A passion for promoting the health and well-being of children and adolescents.
