We are in search of an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our client's team within the Houston Galleria area. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including processing accounts payable invoices, overseeing the accuracy of offshore accounting team tasks, and maintaining vendor data. This role provides a long term contract employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing accounts payable invoices and ensuring they are paid in a timely manner

• Supervising tasks assigned to the offshore accounting team related to accounts payable

• Maintaining accurate vendor data within our system

• Determining weekly ACH, check, and wire requirements and sending these files to the bank

• Resolving invoice discrepancies through research and communication with vendors

• Reconciling the accounts payable aging and other assigned accounts to the general ledger

• Assisting with special projects and research as requested by the management team

• Monitoring local check requests and processing corporate check requests with proper documentation

• Responding to questions and inquiries from both outside vendors and internal customers

• Issuing 1099’s to vendors and filing reports with the IRS.


The role requires expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Microsoft Excel, and Compliance.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of compliance within the credit agency industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a similar role within the credit agency industry is advantageous
• Ability to maintain accuracy while handling high volumes of data
• Willingness to continuously update knowledge related to industry standards and improvements
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
