General Production Worker

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker responsible for the preparation of materials by feeding new coils into the machine. The role includes feeding the trim into the scrap winders, lining it up, locking it down, making slow turns at jogging speed, locking up the safety gate, and notifying the operator that the machine is safe to run. The position also involves cutting bands and recoiling materials.

- Experience in production and machine operation.
- Proficiency in general production tasks.
- Ability to cut bands and recoil material.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operating skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Perform safety behaviors consistently.
This is a contract-to-hire position in a growing company offering stability and growth opportunities.
Work EnvironmentWork in a manufacturing environment with different departments including Material Handlers, Rigger, and Table Handlers. Shifts include:
- Material Handlers – Tube Mills AM: Monday to Friday, 4:00am – 12:35pm, with mandatory overtime when necessary, including Saturdays.
- Rigger – Shipping Swing Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 11:05pm, with mandatory overtime when necessary, including weekends.
- Table Handlers - Tube Mills: Monday to Friday, 7:30pm – 4:05am, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays from 12:30pm – 9:05pm when required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50
