Job Title: Skilled Carpenter

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in carpentry, with the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to building and repairing structures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials.
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and molding.
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets building codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
