Job Title: School Social Worker

Location: Markham, Illinois

Are you a dedicated social worker with a passion for supporting students and their families? Join our team in Markham as a School Social Worker We are looking for a passionate and skilled professional to help foster a positive and nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges. Develop personalized strategies to help students thrive.

  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to student crises and emergencies, providing immediate support and connecting students to necessary resources.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to identify student needs and create a holistic support plan.

  • Programs and Workshops: Develop and implement social-emotional learning programs and workshops to promote mental health awareness and resilience among students.

  • Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for students and their families, ensuring access to appropriate services and resources within the munity.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and outes, ensuring confidentiality and pliance with school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Valid Illinois social worker license (LCSW or LMSW)
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse school munity
