Position Details:

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our elementary school team in Illinois. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive school counseling services to support the academic, emotional, and social growth of students. This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and families to create a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive counseling program that supports academic, career, and personal/social development.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
  • Conduct classroom guidance lessons on topics such as conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and study skills.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of strategies to support students with behavioral or academic challenges.
  • Maintain records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding best practices for student support.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters Degree in School Counseling or related field.
  • Certification: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement.
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
