Special Education Teacher
Location: Melrose Park, IL

Position Overview:
Soliant Education is actively seeking a skilled and passionate Special Education Teacher to work in Melrose Park, IL. This role offers an opportunity to impact students with diverse learning needs by providing individualized education plans (IEPs) and support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. The ideal candidate will be mitted to fostering an inclusive environment and collaborating with colleagues, families, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with varying needs.
  • Deliver tailored instruction in a self-contained, resource, or inclusion classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to align strategies for student success.
  • Regularly assess and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies.
  • Maintain pliance with federal and state special education regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students who have diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and instructional strategies tailored to special education.
  • Strong munication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
