Life Skills Special Education Teacher
Are you passionate about guiding students to reach their full potential and develop essential life skills?ProCare Therapy is currently looking for a dedicated Life Skills Special Education Teacher to join one of our trusted school districts located in beautiful Jefferson, Maine.The ideal candidate will be skilled in delivering individualized instruction, developing and implementing comprehensive individualized education plans (IEPs), and managing classroom behavior effectively.

Job Description
- Full time
- M-F
- ASAP - June 10, 2025
- This position is responsible for teaching students with emotional and behavioral needs in a team environment. Students are in both regular education and special education classrooms for parts of their day. Educational technicians are a critical part of this team and support students in all settings as needed.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or higher
- Active ME Licensure
- Active ME Certification with a 282 Endorsement
- Proficient in Case Management
- Able to develop and implement IEPs while coordinating with internal departments
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
Interview Process
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
- 30 mins-1 hrvirtual/in-person interview with school district
- Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview
As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
