Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Systems Engineer in Woodbridge, New Jersey. This role involves a variety of tasks within the tech industry, including maintaining both virtual and on-site server configurations, data backup and recovery, and automation of a common desktop computing environment.

Responsibilities
• Design and maintain a uniform desktop computing environment, with a focus on automation.
• Coordinate large-scale equipment setup and deployment activities.
• Develop procedures and guidelines for software installation in collaboration with the Lead Technical Architect.
• Use advanced resources and tools for specialized problem investigation and resolution across all areas, including LAN/WAN.
• Handle procurement tasks such as generating quotes and requisitions for hardware/software/services, tracking orders, and maintaining relevant reports.
• Take on the responsibility for administrative maintenance of all infrastructure components, including regular server maintenance, software license tracking, validation activities, and asset management.
• Act as the keeper of IS manuals, software, data backups & tapes, and online documentation.
• Perform system data backup & restoration and manage data retention policies.
• Conduct annual disaster recovery testing.
• Analyze requests, prioritize and coordinate scheduling work with users, and manage user acceptance testing for the successful implementation of enhancements.
• Provide 2nd level support across multiple applications, ensuring delivery of support that is consistent with end user expectations and service level agreements.
• Establish 2nd level application support capabilities, including process to triage calls from 1st level support, troubleshooting and monitoring production performance, implementing system enhancements and corrective actions.
• Regularly update project communications/updates of status and issues, coordinating activities across vendor, end user, and internal ITS resources to achieve deliverables as defined in project plans.
• Manage the creation and/or updates to system documentation in accordance with regulatory and/or departmental requirements.• Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required.
• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies is necessary.
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud Technologies is essential.
• Experience with DELL EMC Technologies is expected.
• Proficiency in Dell Technologies is required.
• A background in AB Testing is preferred.
• Understanding of Active Directory is necessary.
• Experience with Automation is a must.
• Knowledge of AWS Technologies is required.
• Familiarity with Backup Technologies is expected.
• Proficiency in Hyper-V is necessary.
• Experience with VMware is preferred.
• Knowledge of Azure Active Directory is a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure is required.
