Location: Alpharetta GA 30005
Shift: 6.30 AM - 3.30 PM (1st Shift)
Job Description:
As a Test Operator, your role is to perform various testing procedures and ensure the quality and functionality of products in a manufacturing or production environment.
You will be responsible for conducting tests, recording data, analyzing results, and reporting any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
Your attention to detail and ability to follow testing protocols will contribute to the overall success of the testing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Testing Procedures:
- Execute testing procedures according to established protocols and standards.
- This may include functional, performance, stress, or compatibility testing, depending on the specific product or system being tested.
- Data Collection and Recording:
- Accurately record test data and results using standardized forms, electronic databases, or other documentation methods.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of testing activities.
- Equipment Operation: Operate specialized testing equipment, tools, and instruments as required. This may involve using automated testing systems, diagnostic devices, or other machinery.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot any issues or abnormalities encountered during testing. Collaborate with appropriate team members or technicians to resolve technical problems and ensure accurate test results.
- Quality Assurance: Follow established quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of testing procedures. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports summarizing test results, including any observations, anomalies, or failures. Communicate findings to supervisors, engineers, or other stakeholders as necessary.
- Process Improvement: Provide feedback and suggestions for improving testing procedures, equipment, or protocols to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and product developers, to understand product specifications and testing requirements. Work closely with team members to address any issues or concerns that may arise during testing.
- Compliance and Standards: Follow industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to testing processes, data security, and confidentiality.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on new testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices. Participate in training programs or workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in testing operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in relevant areas is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Test Operator or in a similar testing role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and equipment.
- Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, or systems.
- Proficient in using testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, or logic analyzers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols precisely.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
