Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Machine Operator to join our team. Your daily tasks will involve general labor which includes heavy lifting (50+ lbs), moving at a fast pace, and standing for 8 hours. The role also involves inputting and checking measurements, lifting raw materials, and record keeping. You will be cross-trained in all departments and work closely with the supervisor, taking responsibility for running lines at the warehouse.

Responsibilities
  • Proficiency in reading a ruler
  • CNC operation and programming (preferred but not required)
  • General math skills
  • Ability to lift heavy items
  • Record keeping
  • Stand for extended periods and climb rolling ladders as needed.
  • Cross-train in other departments to support overall production.
Essential Skills
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using a ruler and other measuring tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Shift
  • Day Shift: Monday - Friday 6am-2:45pm; OT as needed
  • Will change to 6:00am - 4:45pm, Monday - Thursday in the summer

Work Environment

Fast-paced and dynamic. Requires standing for the entire shift and climbing rolling ladders. Small production floor with a small team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day and be on your feet for 8 hours a day. Monday through Friday 6am to 2:45pm with occasional overtime on Saturdays. Opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and cross-training in various departments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00
