Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Helper to join our team. This position is for the 1st shift, working from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays and weekends. As a Machine Shop Helper, you will be responsible for grinding, parts running, welding (MIG, Fluxcore), and working with thicker gauge steel.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with grinding and fabricating parts.
  • Run parts and assist with machine shop tasks.
  • Perform MIG and Fluxcore welding on thicker gauge steel.
  • Work with various materials including stainless steel and tanks/pipes.
  • Utilize hand tools and follow blueprints for machine building and fabrication tasks.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in grinding, production, and fabrication.
  • Proficiency in MIG and Fluxcore welding.
  • Knowledge of working with thicker gauge steel and stainless steel.
  • Experience in machine building and working in a machine shop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in using older manual machinery (brake presses, roll presses).
  • General labor skills and familiarity with hand tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00
