Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Remote (North Carolina)
Job Type: Fulltime, Work From Home
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations of students to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students via teletherapy platforms.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and address communication challenges.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations to support student success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and teletherapy.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current North Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of students.
