Early Intervention Specialist (PreK) Near Littleton, NH
ProCare Therapy has a contract job position open for a Special Education teacher in our school district, located in Saint Johnsbury, VT. As a ProCare Therapy employee, you will be compensated with weekly pay and quality benefits. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate educator who can create individualized learning plans, implement effective teaching strategies, and collaborate with other staff members and families to support student success.

Start/End Date: ASAP-End of School Year
Job type: Part time or Full Time
Hours: 7:30am-11:30am or 7:30am-3:30pm

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities. You will be working a full time position with an early childhood/early intervention (PreK) caseload of about 10 students.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of elementary school students.
  • Monitor and assess students progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of students progress and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
  • VT SPED certification
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience with Early Childhood/ Early intervention (PreK) caseloads is preferred.
