Position Description:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will be instrumental in developing individualized educational plans for students, working closely with staff, families, and specialists to support students academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Targeted Support: Provide individualized instruction that meets students diverse learning needs.
  • IEP Development and Maintenance: Design and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state standards.
  • Adapted Teaching: Tailor teaching strategies to address unique student challenges and strengths.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track student progress and adjust methods to encourage continued achievement.
  • Classroom Environment: Foster a supportive and well-organized classroom for all students.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with colleagues, administrators, and families for holistic support.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
  • Certification: Valid Illinois Special Education certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience preferred but open to new graduates with required certification.
  • Skills: Competent in IEP development, instructional flexibility, and classroom leadership.
