My client is currently seeking a motivated Labor & Employment Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid background handling a diverse array of employment matters, including workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Litigation skills should encompass drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions, with a preference for experience in conducting depositions and administrative hearings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of labor and employment litigation matters, from initial client consultation through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis of statutes, regulations, and case law to support client advice and litigation strategy.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Advise clients on employment-related matters, including drafting workplace policies, conducting employee trainings, and providing day-to-day counsel.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and ensure client objectives are met effectively.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation, adhering to firm and court procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in [state] and in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably with a focus on litigation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in drafting workplace policies and conducting employee trainings.
  • Previous experience in administrative hearings and/or alternative dispute resolution.
  • Familiarity with HR practices and corporate compliance issues.
