Mon - Fri schedule
Contract Position
OT Duties
Conduct thorough assessments of residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and residents’ goals.
Evaluate residents’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Design and implement therapeutic interventions to improve residents’ daily living skills, including self-care, mobility, and cognitive functions.
Utilize adaptive equipment and modifications to enhance residents’ functional independence.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on techniques and strategies to support ongoing therapeutic goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Prepare reports and communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding residents’ progress and changes in treatment plans.
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and address residents’ comprehensive needs.
Participate in care planning meetings and provide input on residents’ rehabilitation goals and strategies.
Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to occupational therapy and patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of care.
Provide training and support to staff, residents, and families on occupational therapy techniques and interventions.
Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and incorporate new techniques as appropriate.
Offer emotional support to residents and their families, addressing concerns related to therapy and overall well-being.
Promote a positive and supportive environment within the facility.
OT Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited educational institution
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist (OT) by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing
1+ year of relevant Occupational Therapist (OT) experience
