Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Material Movers to assist in building 'PODS' or inventory bins at Amazon sites to upgrade the site and make it more automation-friendly. This role requires significant physical activity, including standing and walking throughout the day, and involves moving materials within the distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Move materials within the distribution center.
• Hand off pods to the Loading/Unloading team.
• Use pallet jacks to transport products from one location to another.
• Load and unload trucks of materials and supplies.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as well as inventory help.
• Stand and walk throughout the entire day with no time to sit.

Work Environment

The work site is located at Amazon ORF4, 1795 Dam Neck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA. The environment is currently in the construction phase, and as such, it is a construction work environment with port-a-potties and non-climate-controlled conditions.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
