Job Description

You will be working on a shipping line in a fulfillment warehouse, repackaging items for delivery to Amazon or Walmart Distribution Centers. Your tasks will include taking an item, putting a sticker on it, placing it in a box, attaching a shipping label, and then putting the box on a pallet. You will also be covering barcodes with Amazon-specific labels, among other duties.

Responsibilities
  • Repackage items for delivery to Amazon or Walmart Distribution Centers.
  • Place stickers and shipping labels on items and boxes.
  • Put boxes on pallets for shipment.
  • Cover barcodes with Amazon-specific labels.
  • Follow directions and work well with others.
  • Work with a sense of urgency and take pride in your work.
  • Handle materials, inventory, and use RF scanners.
  • Pick orders and assemble items as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to stand in place at a shipping line all day.
  • Typically not lifting more than 25lbs, but must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Computer skills and Excel spreadsheet experience are helpful but not required.

This is a light-duty and simple position, providing an excellent opportunity to gain industrial and warehouse experience. Although this is a contract position, many people have been on assignment for over a year, and there is a small opportunity to move to other departments.

Work Environment

You will be working in a brand-new, very clean, and nice warehouse that went up in 2023. The company provides various services to Amazon vendors as an online eCommerce 3PL company. You will be working closely with other people on many different shipping lines. The warehouse typically has 20-25 internal employees and usually 15-30+ contract workers, depending on the workload and project demands, with a peak of up to 65 contract workers.
