ProCare Therapy is excited to partner with a school district in Ortonville, MI, to fill three full-time Special Education Teacher positions for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate educators to make a significant impact on students' lives. Virtual interviews will be conducted promptly via Zoom, and were aiming to fill these roles as soon as possible.

Position Overview:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
  • Start Date: September 4, 2024
  • End Date: June 17, 2025
  • Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours (Monday - Friday)

Openings:

  • Middle School: 2 positions in self-contained classrooms
  • Elementary School: 1 position in an autism-focused classroom

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction tailored to each students needs.
  • Support students in both individual and small group settings.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain regular communication with families.
  • Collaborate with school staff to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Lead and coordinate IEP meetings to support student goals.
  • Perform related duties as needed to foster student success.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Valid Michigan teaching license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in special education, particularly in self-contained or autism-focused classrooms, is preferred.
