Special Education Teacher (Full-Time, 2024/2025 SY) Near Melrose, MA
Location: Winchester, MA
Job Type: Contract, Full-time
Start/End Date: 2024/2025 School Year

Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education teacher for our school district in Winchester, MA. This full-time position involves supporting a 6th-8th grade caseload with moderate special needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and collaborating with educational assistants to support student success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students.
  • Apply behavioral intervention strategies to support positive behavior and emotional regulation.
  • Design and implement tailored instructional strategies to meet the unique learning requirements of each child.
  • Collaborate with educational assistants
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Special Education certification in MA.
  • Moderate to Severe DESE endorsement(required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with early childhood caseloads is preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $33-$37+. (Dependent on experience and school district budget)
  • ProCare Therapy benefits package including healthcare, 401K, and more
  • Weekly Pay
