Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures
  • Supports the Director of Pharmacy in the management of day-to-day operations of CAPS Pharmacy.
  • Establishes workflow required for pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with all SOPs.
  • Responsible for the performance to the Continuous Quality Assessment and Improvement Program (CQAIP) and support activities in Quality Units.
  • Ensures Local, State and Federal regulatory compliance.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer service relationships.
  • Coordinates new customer start up.
  • Responsible for the successful operation of the pharmacy.
  • Assists in developing strategic plan; monitoring financial activities; providing financial and operational reporting to management.
  • May be responsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
  • Functions as a Staff Pharmacist when needed.

  • May consult with senior management.

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree of PharmD required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 08-10 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed, On-call hours as needed, Valid Pharmacist license
  • cGMP training/experience desired, training will be provided
  • Aseptic processing training/experience desired, training will be provided.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
