Job Description

As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our batchmakers by staging materials and ensuring a seamless production flow. You’ll operate and tend to machines that mix and blend essential materials, contributing to the creation of high-quality products.

Responsibilities
  • Forklift Operation: Stage materials for processing flow tanks using a sit-down or stand-up forklift.
  • Batch Work Instructions: Follow specific batch instructions for disperser and letdown tanks to ensure efficient production.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform necessary clean-up and maintenance of equipment to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Monitor Production: Control and monitor high-speed mixers and pumps to ensure optimal performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist in various departments as needed and support cleaning duties to maintain a tidy environment.
Essential Skills
  • Experience: 1-2 years of material handling or production experience.
  • Forklift Proficiency: Ability to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift 50-100 pounds.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading digital scales and flow meters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in compounding, mixing, and material handling is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, machine operation, and raw materials.
  • Familiarity with GMP, chemical production, batch making, and formula blending.

Work Environment

You will be working in a temperature-controlled chemical manufacturing setting. While there may be noticeable smells, the clean and modern facility ensures a pleasant workspace. We provide safety boots, and our dress code requires long pants, long-sleeve shirts, and closed-toe and heel shoes.

Shift Availability
  • 1st Shift: Mon-Thurs, 5:45 am - 4:15 pm
  • 2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs, 4:00 pm - 2:30 am
  • Overtime: Available on Fridays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position located in the vibrant city of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $22.00
