Your Role:

  • Create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Design and implement tailored educational plans for students with special needs.
  • Adapt Instruction: Modify teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Engage Students: Use innovative instructional techniques and technologies to make learning interactive and impactful.
  • Monitor Progress: Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to support student development.
  • Communicate: Keep parents/guardians informed about their childs progress and educational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Certification: Valid MassachusettsSpecial Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Assistive Technology: Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Behavior Management: Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
