Job Description

We are looking for candidates to work in a variety of positions on the manufacturing floor for approximately 2-3 months due to a significant order from a customer.

Responsibilities
  • Provide production support by cleaning production and general shop areas, cleaning tools, taking out garbage, and setting up cells.
  • Assemble products.
  • Operate machines, including automatic and manual chuckers, CNC lathes, vertical mills, multi-press, reamer/drill taps, testers, paint booth, and forklift.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure production flow and operations are maintained.
  • Keep the working environment safe and clean.
  • Work productively and professionally with various teammates.
  • Engage in daily improvement work by sharing observations and ideas.
  • Perform janitorial duties if needed and maintain a positive attitude at all times.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to follow directions and problem solve
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with production, general labor, machine operation, hand tools, packing, and assembly.

Work Environment

Established in 1938, our client operates a small machine shop with 6 machines and a paint line. The facility is not heated but has A/C. It has an oily smell and uses acetone for one of the sealant assembly lines, so comfort working in this environment is necessary. The machinery is older, and the facility is relatively small. The position is on the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm), with voluntary overtime available, currently working 50+ hours a week due to new business. The dress code requires a work shirt, jeans, and steel-toe shoes.

This is a Contract position based out of Geneva, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
