General Production Worker

The position is a utility role where the individual will work as a Production Worker. Responsibilities include rebuilding valves for tanks that will eventually be filled with chlorine, operating equipment to pressurize the valves, and moving completed pallets with a forklift to staging or shipping areas. The role also involves cleaning, prepping, and removing old labels from the tanks. Eventually, you will learn how to fill the tanks with chlorine.
Responsibilities- Rebuild valves for tanks similar to propane tanks.
- Operate equipment to pressurize valves onto tanks.
- Move completed pallets of tanks using a forklift to staging or shipping areas.
- Clean, prep, and remove old labels from tanks.
- Fill tanks with chlorine after training and hiring.
- Clean and empty pre-used tanks, preparing them for refill.
- Use a machine to sandblast cylinders.
- Assist with inspecting final products before shipping, ensuring labels are correct and tanks are properly sealed.
- Work in the loading dock filling trucks with chemicals.
- Select the correct chemical needed by the tanker driver and apply proper safety gear.
- Operate controls to fill tankers with chemicals and seal them correctly.
- Drive forklifts to move barrels or totes to filling areas and connect hoses to the correct chemical by weight.
- 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- 2+ years of experience documenting work, such as outbound shipments or quality checks on parts manufactured.
- Strong computer skills for entering information, pulling orders, and tracking orders.
These positions are contract-to-union roles, offering significant raises upon conversion, with starting pay for union roles ranging between $29-$32 per hour. The plant provides yearly raises across the board, and employees benefit from a strong career pathing program to progress into higher positions or increased pay. The facility offers a great benefits package and has a history of long-term employee retention, with many employees having been with the company for 5-25 years.
