We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join a prominent Plaintiff's personal injury law firm in their new office in Phoenix, Arizona. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team, primarily assisting two attorneys with legal assistant and paralegal tasks. This role involves a hybrid working model, with a presence required in the office for vendor interactions and client meetings.


Responsibilities

• Assisting with the establishment of a new office, which includes coordinating with vendors and managing deliveries

• Engaging in legal secretary and paralegal duties, which account for the majority of the role (calendaring, docketing, efiling, drafting, assisting with discovery and trial prep)

• Utilizing legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, and CompuLaw for various tasks

• Managing billing functions and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing

• Conducting briefing sessions and maintaining an organized calendar for the attorneys

• Managing the calendar and docket, ensuring no conflict in schedules and court dates

• Building and maintaining positive client relations

• Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly

• Processing customer applications and maintaining accurate customer records

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary

• Proficiency in using Aderant software

• Experience in using Adobe Acrobat for document management

• Expertise in using Case Management Software for organizing and managing legal cases

• Experience in using CompuLaw for calendar management

• Ability to handle billing functions efficiently

• Capable of briefing cases and legal matters succinctly

• Proficient in calendar management, ensuring all deadlines are met

• Demonstrated skills in maintaining client relations

• Experience in the Consumer Electronics sector is a plus

• Ability to manage Calendar - Docket effectively.
