Structural Engineer- Bridge Design Engineer

Civil Engineer- Structural Engineer- Bridge Design Engineer- Civil Construction

Our client is actively seeking to hire a Civil or Structural Engineer for a full-time permanent staff opportunity, focused on structural design (bridges) and is open to hiring applicants from mid-level with their EIT through senior level registered PE professional engineers, with a minimum of two or more years of experience. Duties will reflect appropriately with level of experience.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity can work independently, has sound technical skills, is team oriented, personable, and possesses a strong desire to make a positive contribution to the organization. This position requires a well-organized and versatile individual who is experienced in civil/structural engineering design for a variety of civil construction related projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design of projects under direction of a registered professional engineer
  • Performs studies, calculations, and designs and preparation of work plans in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards
  • Provide technical support for inner department staff on assigned projects
  • Quality control of self-produced work

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering program
  • Minimum of two (2) or more years of structural design experience in a relevant setting
  • EIT certification, professional engineer (PE) license a plus
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with subcontractors, staff and project teams
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail
