Production Line Lead

We are NOW hiring a Production Line Lead in the Lewisville, TX 75057 area, for a Food Manufacturing facility
Job Description
The Department Lead is responsible for overseeing the execution of the facility production plans in any of the following departments. Assembly, Prep, Pizza line, Housekeeping, and Picking

Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
· Work with the Production Manager and other Shift Leads/Supervisors to coordinate the scheduling of the presses and other equipment to meet the production demands.
· Coordinate the efforts for the shift operators, including entering time, scheduling and approving vacation, and ensuring that coverage is met during the shift.
· Ensure that appropriate training takes place and is documented, as well as cross-training as needed, to meet the demands of the shift and to increase overall production throughput.
· Develop the team and processes through continuous improvement project implementation.
· Build rapport within the team to encourage sharing of information and overall communication.
· Set goals for the area and work with the team to meet those goals individually and as a team and tracking the metrics to ensure progress.
· Ensure that safety protocols are followed to ensure that the team is not compromised.
Production Shift Lead Info
· Day Shift, 5:00am to 5:00pm
· Monday - Sunday (Rotating Shift) days off will vary
Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
· Knowledge/Experience of a food manufacturing environment.
· Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to motivate and drive a team.
· Strong work ethic.
· USDA and FDA experience a plus
· HACCP experience a plus
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Ability to learn and use performance reporting tools. Microsoft, company specific software, VTS, etc.
· Adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high and will include, but not be limited to, production machinery, computers, printers, telephones, and normal communication.
Associates are required to adhere to production schedule demands, dept. rotation schedule changes, overtime.
Must be willing to work under various temperatures typically ranging from 40 to 95 F.
