A company located in Valencia, California, is looking for a Payroll Administrator. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including managing daily payroll processes, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, facilitating audits, coordinating with HR and other teams, and handling payroll discrepancies and inquiries. You MUST be able to go onsite Monday- Friday to Valencia. This is a temporary position for about 6 months.


Responsibilities:

• Manage daily payroll operations across multiple states ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Work in compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and practices

• Act as a point of contact for audits, providing necessary documentation and records

• Collaborate with HR and other teams for smooth workflow and coordination

• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll queries

• Maintain, prepare, and keep up-to-date records and reports of payroll transactions

• Investigate and correct any payroll discrepancies and errors promptly

• Calculate payroll liabilities including employee federal and state taxes, unemployment and worker’s compensation

• Stay abreast with the latest trends in payroll processing and changes in tax rates

• Develop and enhance payroll policies, guidelines, and procedures to improve efficiency

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar position.

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems, ensuring efficient processing and management of payroll.

Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now for accurate payroll services.

• Ability to generate and analyze Crystal Reports for payroll data evaluation.

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration for managing employee retirement plans.

• Proficiency in using About Time software for time and attendance tracking.

• Capable of performing various Accounting Functions related to payroll.

• Auditing skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processes.

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions, including administration of employee benefits related to payroll.
