LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire a Bookkeeper for a contract opportunity in Auburn, California. In this role you will research and analyze current and past accounting transactions. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficiency of our financial operations and provide support in budgeting and reporting.

 

PLEASE NOTE: All duties for this role are performed on site and in person at the client’s main office in Auburn, California. This is NOT a remote opportunity.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research company accounting and financial records to determine eligibility for tax rebates and payment relief.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly financial statements.

  • Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

  • Track and manage accounts receivable, including billing and collections.

  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports for management, highlighting key metrics and variances.

  • Support annual audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding financial practices.

  • Respond to inquiries from management and other departments regarding financial matters.

DESIRED BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.

  • Strong proficiency in accounting software in QuickBooks.

  • Clear and concise communications skills (written and verbal)..

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
